She began her professional career in 2001 as an English language instructor and interpreter. Her proficiency in English and Urdu paved the way for her entry into the transportation sector and collaboration with international shipping companies.Her specialized career in transportation started at Jahan Darya Company and shortly thereafter continued at Darya Derakhshan, a subsidiary of the Sharaf Shipping Group. At Darya Derakhshan, she was responsible for the import department and, through years of experience in operations management, documentation, and international coordination, advanced to the position of Deputy Supervisor, where she played a significant role in leading and managing operational teams.
After years of working with reputable shipping and transportation companies and gaining valuable experience in managing international shipping lines, Ms. Tavakoli pursued professional certifications in international transportation and obtained the required licenses to establish her own specialized company. Consequently, in 2016, she founded Balam Bar, a company that today delivers a wide range of international transportation services through its extensive network of representatives, operational expertise, and commitment to industry best practices.Sara Tavakoli is considered one of the pioneering women in the international transportation industry of Hormozgan Province. She is among the first women to have worked professionally in cross-border transportation, international transit, cabotage operations, and the establishment of border agency offices. Her forward-thinking vision and professional approach enabled Balam Bar to achieve a strong position in the regional transportation market within a relatively short period.In addition to her executive responsibilities, Ms. Tavakoli has served as a board member of the Hormozgan Women Entrepreneurs Association. Leveraging her specialized expertise and internationally recognized certifications in transportation and logistics, she has consistently emphasized the development of professional standards and the continuous improvement of service quality.
